People Matters TechHR 2023 Flashback: Bridging Past and Future in HR Recruitment with apna.co
Quite a few days have passed since the People Matters TechHR India event came to an end but we’re still reeling under its effects. With over 2,500 HR & business leaders from across India attending this year, TechHR 2023 lived up to its hype of being Asia’s largest HR & WorkTech conference.
For two days, namely 3rd & 4th August, more than 3,226 attendees congregated at The Leela Ambience in Gurgaon as People Matters TechHR provided them with a unique platform to connect, collaborate, and capture learnings and insights from the best. Over 160 speakers, including the father of modern HR, Dave Ulrich, graced the event.
This year, apna.co was a proud Gold Partner for the event which led to some unforgettable experiences over the course of these two days filled with fresh ideas, innovations, and some inspiring conversations. So let’s take a short trip down the memory lane to give you all a glimpse into one of the most highly anticipated HR events of the year.
Back with an Engaging Theme
As is People Matters TechHR’s trademark, even this year the event came back with an engaging and interesting theme, ‘Art of The Possible: Design for the Unconventional’. In true TechHR style, future-forward business and talent leaders converged to architect an inclusive space to break away from outdated modes of thinking and devise newer ways of intersecting business, technology and leadership for greater impact.
Impressive Guest Lineup
Representatives from top brands like Google, Titan Company, Vantage Circle, PepsiCo, TCS, Cipla, and others shared their thoughts on the future of HR & HR tech. Distinguished personalities such as Dr. Shashi Tharoor and Ankur Warikoo, alongside industry experts like Dr. Tomas Chamorro Premuzic (Chief Innovation Officer, Manpower Group), Vineet Nayar (Former CEO HCL & Founder & Chairman, Sampark Foundation), CK Venkataraman (MD, Titan Company), and Divya Kumar (Group Digital CFO, IKEA Retail) were also a part of the event.
“It has been my pleasure to invite leaders for the 10th edition of People Matters TechHR India to reflect upon the art of the possible, as we design for the unconventional times, to step into the future and act decisively and courageously to look beyond the exigencies of our present times.” said Ester Martinez, Founder, CEO, and Editor-in-Chief of People Matters.
With an impressive turnout of over 150+ speakers, 80+ sessions, and 110+ HR and WorkTech solution providers, TechHR 2023 indeed exceeded all expectations. And let’s not forget the amazing Night Fest where the talent powerhouse, Papon made everyone croon to his beats.
apna’s Journey in TechHR 2023
We landed at People Matters TechHR 2023 with a simple agenda in our minds: Some things never change, but your hiring partner should! And we brought the 90’s nostalgia along with us. The idea was very simple; certain things in our past are comforting and nostalgic, therefore should be left untouched but this doesn’t stand true when it comes to the hiring partner and it’s time to make the switch to apna.co.
Our booth design conveyed this idea brilliantly as it had elements from the 90’s era which captivated peoples’ attention. As we networked with CHROs, HR professionals, and thought leaders, we fostered some wonderful relationships which we are sure will lead to growth potentials in the future.
Our CHRO, Vikrant Gupta was also the part of a panel discussion featuring Manmeet Sandhu (CPO, PhonePe), Sandeep Sethi (MD, Deloitte India), and Dimple Kaloya (Head HR, HSBC India) where they discussed what technology and automation in hiring and recruitment can do. They touched upon the role of tech-powered tools in saving time and money, building predictive talent profiles, enhancing employee experience, improving diversity, and reducing attrition.
What Else Went Down
In addition to the insightful speaker sessions, attendees were also treated to an array of enlightening masterclasses, interesting Fireside Chats, and thought-provoking Think Tank Panel discussions. AI remained the talk of the town as most conversations & discussions revolved around enhancing interactions with job seekers, utilizing AI and generative AI. People also had the chance to network over dinner and drinks that forged some potential partnerships and connections that promise growth.
Winding Up
As all good things come to an end, even TechHR 2023 came to its conclusion. What we’re left with is an unforgettable experience of those two days that were packed with networking, learning, and enriching conversations with fellow minds.
As we return with renewed vigor, we’re looking forward to embracing more such experiences in the times to come. In the meantime, you can reach out to us here to gain a deeper understanding of our platform.
